My name is Kevin Miao. I was born and raised in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. 🇳🇱 When I was younger my first-generation parents, who did not attend college, would always be working in our restaurant, as my grandparents raised me. This upbringing together with the complete different environment at school have heavily influenced my view of the world as well as multi-faceted. Lastly, I can proudly say I am a proud member of the first-generation college, first-generation immigrant and LGBTQ community.

When I am not working, you can find me reading about planes ✈️ (and one day flying them), exploring new restaurants/cafes 🍽☕️, wandering the streets of San Francisco 🌉 or working out 🏋️‍♂️ such as weightlifting, indoor cycling and yoga. I also enjoy cooking and baking 👨‍🍳, taking photographs 📸, discuss philosophy and life 🎙, reading books 📚 and listening to podcasts.

Below here, I share some resources that I have found extremely fun, engaging, interesting or relaxing. Especially, amidst the politically volatile times, the pandemic and the ever increasing focus on producing over mental health, I find it important to put aside time (and encourage you to do so too) to enjoy things that truly make me happy, give me purpose and understand the chaos around me better. 😄
